Get to Know OUTSIDE THE FEED: Less Scrolling, More Living

Cream OUTSIDE THE FEED T-shirt with MAKE MEMORIES. NOT CONTENT. printed on the back

Hi, I'm Patrick, the person behind OUTSIDE THE FEED.

For a long time, I spent far too many hours doom scrolling the internet. I fell down the rabbit hole of living for follower counts, likes and the little hit of validation that comes with someone noticing you online.

When life got hard, social media became a crutch. It gave me somewhere to go when I did not really want to sit with how I was feeling. I could keep scrolling, keep comparing, keep looking for something outside myself to make things feel better.

But somewhere in all of that, I stopped pausing to look at my own life as a whole. I was paying so much attention to what everyone else was sharing that I was not always seeing what was right in front of me. I forgot that even when life feels difficult, there can still be moments worth holding on to. I lost sight of the fact that my own life, with all its mess and uncertainty, was still full of meaning and possibility.

Why OUTSIDE THE FEED exists

OUTSIDE THE FEED was created as a reminder, to me as much as anyone else, to look up, reflect on the life we are living and go out and make memories. Not every moment needs to become content. Not every good thing needs an audience. Some things are valuable simply because they happened to you.

The philosophy is simple: less scrolling, more living. I want OUTSIDE THE FEED to remind people that their lives are worth noticing, especially on the days when it is hard to see that for themselves.

Every part of the brand has a purpose

The journals: remember how special your life is

Collection 1 of our journals is built around remembering just how special your life is. It is easy to lose sight of that when you are having a dark day, or when everything feels covered by clouds. A journal gives you a place to pause and look back at the people, moments and little details that make up your life.

Sometimes the sunshine is right there and we just cannot see it. Sometimes we have to go and find it for ourselves. The journals are designed to help you notice those moments, keep them safe and remember that one difficult chapter is not the whole story.

The objects: little reminders in the everyday

Our objects bring the philosophy into ordinary routines. A mug beside you for your morning coffee can offer a small reminder before the day gets going. A tote can remind you when you are out doing the supermarket run, or catch someone else's eye and give them a reminder they did not know they needed.

These are not just things to own. They are little prompts to look up, take a breath and remember there is a life waiting beyond the screen.

The apparel: wear the philosophy

And the clothing? It looks fantastic, for a start. Why not wear a philosophy that you believe in? A T-shirt can say something about what matters to you without asking you to explain it. It can start a conversation, make someone smile or remind you of the kind of life you want to live.

We make clothing because the idea should not have to stay on a page. You can write it down, carry it with you or wear it out into the world.

A little more life, a little less feed

OUTSIDE THE FEED is for anyone who has ever looked up from their phone and wondered where the time went. For anyone who has measured a day by notifications, compared their ordinary life with somebody else's highlight reel, or reached for a screen because sitting with real life felt a bit too much.

This is not about getting everything right, deleting every app or never scrolling again. It is about finding a little more balance. Remembering to be present. Reflecting on the life you have lived, and making room for the life you still want to live.

If something we make helps you pause for a moment, notice a bit of sunshine, make a memory or remind someone else that their life matters too, then it is doing its job.

Thanks for being here. Now go and make a memory.

Patrick
